Olympian workout for Chiswick’s elderly residents

August 12, 2012

If you think that London Pilates Studio workouts are solely for the young, think again. As if we need any further proof that London 2012 has inspired a generation, we need look no further than this fantastic tribute to Team GB. However, the generation in question is not the youngsters but the older generation.

A DIY Olympics video has been made by Chiswick residents of sheltered accommodation Jessop House in W4. The spoof Olympic workout includes all the disciplines you’d expect from the real thing: javelin, archery, shooting, cycling, running and gymnastics.

The residents ingenuity extends to their sports equipment – not a sponsor’s logo in sight. Look out instead for their colander fencing masks and the red cabbage shot puts. Very funny.  Watch The Jessop House Games.
